Peter K. Ledwith Thomas D. Atkinson

Peter has been practicing law in New York since 1967. He is engaged in practice as a trial attorney in all facets of law specializing in personal injury litigation including products liability, medical malpractice, labor law, automobile law, premise liability, appellate practice and occasional criminal cases. In addition, he is the village attorney for Lynbrook, New York as well as a former trustee of Lynbrook.

Mr. Ledwith is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Defense Association of New York, American Arbitration Association and Panel of Arbitrators.

He is admitted to all New York State Courts and the federal United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. In addition, he is also admitted to practice in the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Ledwith is a 1966 graduate of Fordham University School of Law and 1962 graduate of Providence College.

T h o m a s   D .   A t k i n s o n

Thomas is a seasoned civil litigator with experience in the representation of catastrophically injured individuals in both complex medical malpractice and significant personal injury cases. Prior to starting Ledwith & Atkinson, he was associated with one of the largest medical malpractice and personal injury defense firms on Long Island. At Ledwith & Atkinson, he handles matters in both New York State and U.S. Federal Courts, and is also experienced in representing clients before appellate courts.

In addition, Mr. Atkinson has significant expertise in the formation of and the counseling of public and private corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. He has handled multi-million dollar acquisitions and mergers and extensively counseled clients regarding the raising of capital in the public and private markets.
Mr. Atkinson is a 1998 graduate of Rutgers Law School and a 1992 graduate of Villanova University. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey State courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
